Health education programs are designed to empower Derby residence to improve their health and quality of life. Programs are managed by the Derby Health Collaborative.
Let’s Move Derby
The Derby Health Collaborative is challenging every resident in Derby and the USD 260 community to a month-long walking program. Walking is a low-impact exercise that packs surprisingly powerful health benefits and Let’s Move Derby Community inspires people to make walking a part of their healthy lifestyles.
Join us these Saturdays in September for a group community walk with one of our “local celebrities”. We will have 1, 2 and 3 mile routes.
Let's Move Derby Schools
Starting healthy habits while in school is the key to staying healthy for a lifetime. During the month of September, staff and students in USD 260 record the number of minutes they are active each day. These minutes convert to individual and school miles. Prizes will be awarded during this friendly competition to the most active school and the most active students. Check with your school’s PE teacher or go to the DRC website to download your tracking card.

inclement weather days. Download the forms at www.drc.com or call 788-3781.
