Mental Health IS Health
How Are You Doing…Really?
How are you feeling? How are you taking care of yourself these days?
“Denying or avoiding feelings doesn’t make them go away, nor does it lessen their impact on us, even if it’s unconscious. Noticing and naming emotions gives us the chance to take a step back and make choices about what to do with them.”
Below are a number of resources to assist you with your mental health feelings. We all have emotions that can be complex; afraid, angry, grieving, lonely, sad, stressed, worried, etc. Actually 1 in 5 people struggle with a mental health condition, meaning you are not alone.
Taking care of your mental health is just as important as taking care of your physical health. Mental health is health so don't delay in getting the help you deserve! (If someone you know is struggling with a mental health condition, read more how you can help.)
Take a Mental Health Test. Online screening is one of the quickest and easiest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition. Mental health conditions are real, common AND treatable. Recovery is possible.
When making contact: "Hello, my name is ______________ and I’m calling because I’m having trouble with my thoughts and feelings. I took an online screening and decided I could benefit from some additional support. Can you help me or direct me to someone who can?"

Lie number one you're supposed to have it all together
And when they ask how you're doing
Just smile and tell them, "Never better"
Lie number 2 everybody's life is perfect except yours
So keep your messes and your wounds
And your secrets safe with you behind closed doors
Truth be told
The truth is rarely told, now
I say I'm fine, yeah I'm fine oh I'm fine, hey I'm fine but I'm not
And when it's out of control I say it's under control but it's not
And you know it
I don't know why it's so hard to admit it
When being honest is the only way to fix it
There's no failure, no fall
There's no sin you don't already know
So let the truth be told
